Bills by e-mail

Bills arrive by e-mail and sort themselves

Your household gets its own address for bills. Providers send their e-invoices there, or you forward them with a rule in your mailbox — no passwords for anyone's portal.

Which bills

Electricity, water, heating, gas, phone and internet, insurance policies, bank statements and card alerts, online orders and subscriptions — anything that arrives as an e-mail with a PDF or an e-invoice.

What happens to the e-mail

The e-mail is encrypted with the household key as soon as it arrives and is read only on your devices. A paid bill becomes an expense under "Bills" with the right period, and the next one is compared with the previous ones.

  • Comparison with last month and with the same season last year.
  • A polite reminder when a usual bill has not arrived this month.
  • "Signed by …" when the e-mail carries the provider's signature.

No passwords, no third-party portals

HomesWallet never signs in to your accounts at providers or banks and does not scrape websites. You decide which e-mails reach the address.

How to start

  1. Copy the address from Settings → "E-mail for bills and offers".

  2. Add a forwarding rule in Gmail or Outlook.

  3. Check the first bill in "Inbox".

Questions and answers

Does HomesWallet read my whole mailbox?
No. Only what you forward, or what a provider sends to the household's address, ever arrives.
What if the rules cannot read a bill?
Then, if the owner has turned AI on, the text goes briefly to the AI provider without names, addresses, IBANs or personal ID numbers. The result is a draft you confirm.
How long is the e-mail kept?
The encrypted e-mail is deleted after processing or within 30 days; the bill's data stays encrypted in your household.
