Receipts
Photograph the receipt — the expense is recorded
HomesWallet first reads the receipt's QR code, then the items. The sum of the lines is checked against the total, and anything uncertain is shown to you before it is saved.
The QR code first
The QR code on a Bulgarian receipt holds its date, time, total and number. The app reads it on your device, without AI.
The items — each one separately
If the owner has turned AI on, the photo goes briefly to the AI provider, which returns the lines. Each line gets a category from the product, not from the shop: engine oil from a hypermarket is "Service & maintenance", coffee beans are "Coffee & tea".
- The lines must add up to the QR total; otherwise the receipt goes to review.
- One correction from you is remembered next time.
- Food goes to the pantry, a vignette to the car, school supplies to the child.
It also works without AI
Without AI you get the date and total from the QR code and add the lines by hand or with quick entry, for example "water 1.20 at Shell".
How to start
Tap "Scan" and photograph the receipt.
Check the lines and the categories.
Confirm — the expense and the pantry are updated.
Questions and answers
- Is the photo kept?
- In your household, yes — encrypted, as a document of the expense. The AI provider deletes it automatically within 30 days and does not use it for training.
- Does it work with receipts from abroad?
- The QR check is for Bulgarian receipts. Other receipts are read from the photo if AI is on, or entered by hand.
- How many photos can I scan?
- It depends on the plan; the number is on the Pricing page, and what you have used is shown in Settings → Plan.
